ADF Foods is global Indian Foods business with its brands sold in over 55 countries. Our brands include Ashoka, Truly Indian, Camel and Aeroplane. 

Ashoka is our largest brand with distribution across continents. Our product ranges span from frozen foods (naan, breads, snacks, samosas), frozen vegetables, pickles, chutneys, ready to eat foods (shelf stable and frozen), pastes, marinades and curries.

Our Australian story goes back decades. The business is experiencing exponential growth and with solid plans to further grow our Australian business, we are seeking a highly motivated and industry expert to join the business. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to manage
the Eastern Seaboard (VIC, NSW & QLD but not limited to). The desired candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth, building strong relationships with distributors, both current and
new. This involves working with distributors and the distributors’ customers (retail outlets) and is a critical part of the role. 

A self starter with ambition to grow with the company and deliver results across the channels.

 The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in sales management in the packaged foods industry in Australia, preferably in the ethnic South Asian trade.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with distributors to:

  • Set sales budgets and targets,
  • Set promotional programs,
  • Ensure that distributors meet their targets,
  • Incentivize them to sell a representative range of ADF-branded SKUs,
  • Facilitate timely payments,
  • Respect territory norms with other distributors
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify New Product Development (NPD) opportunities and optimize sales performance.
  • Monitor business trends, including pricing and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and logistics, to drive business results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales management in the packaged foods industry in Australia.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to gain a competitive edge.
  • Strong customer relationships and understanding of customer needs.
  • Ability to turn market and competitive knowledge into tactical and strategic initiatives.

The role involves interstate travel, attending and respresenting industry trade shows and events, in-store demonstrations and cook ups for customers.
